Kunstsilo, Kristiansand

Kunstsilo stands on the island of Odderøya in Kristiansand, Norway. A grain silo from 1935 has been transformed into a museum, now one of the most notable art and culture centres in northern Europe.

The institution opened on 11 May 2024. It continues the Southern Norway Art Museum, with a new name, a new location and a substantial expansion of the collection; it aims to become the leading museum of modernist art in the Nordic region.

The building received the Prix Versailles 2025, the only Scandinavian museum on the international list, competing with institutions from France, Indonesia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and the United States.
