LEED Platinum certified house at Newport Beach

One of the most sustainable family homes in the United States, built largely with Accoya wood, has achieved LEED Platinum certification, the highest award given by the US Green Building Council. This bespoke 390 m² single-family home at Newport Beach in California has become a benchmark in residential energy and environmental design; it also serves as an educational tool for local and international communities to promote environmental protection. Accoya is everywhere: facade and panel cladding, balcony railing, garage doors, posts and decorative beams. Construction was entrusted to John Steed Homes, a Californian builder of high-end custom houses. The choice of Accoya, a durable, non-toxic modified wood, contributed directly to achieving this prestigious environmental certification.
