Lusail City Boardwalk

This three-hundred-metre coastal walkway links Al Sa'ad Plaza to the Lusail Marina Corniche in Qatar, between the Lusail Plaza Towers and views towards Qetaifan Island. It improves pedestrian access and serves as an events space with a capacity of up to ten thousand people.

The boardwalk is an integral part of the Lusail Plaza Towers project, designed by Foster + Partners. It aligns with Qatar's National Vision 2030, which places sustainability at the centre of urban design.

The decking is Kebony modified wood, made from FSC-certified softwood and transformed using the manufacturer's patented dual modification process. That treatment gives it the durability and low maintenance suited to the region's harsh climate — extreme heat, intense radiation, salt-laden air — on a heavily used public structure.
