Oviedo sports palace

The recent renovation of the Oviedo sports palace has completely modernised one of the most emblematic buildings in the city. The most striking element of the work is the exterior chestnut cladding: new decorative battens laid following the existing vertical rhythm. The choice of chestnut is no accident — a species native to Asturias, recognised for its excellent properties outdoors, its natural durability and its dimensional stability make it an ideal choice for an exposed facade.
