Pool deck, Fulshear

This pool deck in Fulshear, Texas, surrounds a geometric basin lined with light granite tile and polished stones. The area is enclosed by a stone privacy wall and furnished with four lounge chairs set around the water.

The decking is laid in Kebony Clear boards. Their deep brown tone, still close to the as-installed colour, contrasts with the pale minerals of the pool and provides a background for the planting.

Kebony modified wood offers dimensional stability there that limits cupping and checking, along with a surface that heats up less than the adjacent stone paving. It needs no finish to reapply.
