Renovation of Villa M with Accoya cladding and terrace

Accoya wood played a central role in the renovation of Villa M, an imposing three-storey villa of the late nineteenth century in Germany, which returned to its original residential use in 2023. Led by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects and carried out by GME group, the work combined the meticulous restoration of the listed historic facade with a modern reworking of the north facade, with Accoya battens, projecting bay windows and balconies. The wood also clads the roof terrace, which opens through generous glazing onto a newly created roof garden, providing an outdoor space in harmony with nature. Accoya was chosen for its exceptional resistance to the weather, its longevity and its sustainable origins, attested by Cradle-to-Cradle Gold certification.
