Simbionte House: architecture in locally sourced timber

The Simbionte House is an innovative home, a place of cohabitation that combines living and working in harmony with its surroundings, designed by Jesús Ágreda + Susana Velasco Arquitectos. Made entirely of wood, with no plastic materials or artificial sealing joints, the house puts the notion of symbiosis into practice by combining bioclimatic design with natural materials. The chestnut facade made by Siero Lam continues up to the roof in the form of tongue-and-groove slats on treated pine battens, turning the roof into an accessible “fifth facade” that invites a direct connection with nature.
