Terrace in Boulogne-Billancourt, Paris

In Boulogne-Billancourt, Baumschlager Eberle designed a building structure that works as an independent quarter for offices and shops, gaining in urban permeability. The outdoor spaces form a sequence of paths, squares and intensely green open areas. This idea is completed by laying FSC certified chestnut, supplied by Siero Lam, on the floors of these spaces, to reaffirm the fusion of nature with the city. The project was designed with the aim of obtaining LEED Platinum certification, in line with US Green Building Council standards.
