The first offices clad in Accoya Color Grey

At Sempach, in Switzerland, the head office of the family firm Holzpur AG is the first office building in the world clad in Accoya Color Grey. Built in 2023 to plans by the architecture practice Büchler & Scheidegger, it has more than 1,400 m² of exposed board cladding (21 × 145 mm boards), complemented by 150 m² of vertical batten cladding for the roof verge and the window surrounds. A specialist in exterior timber, Holzpur AG chose Accoya Color Grey for its uniform through-colouring, its increased durability, its ease of installation and its resistance to the weather, all of which reduce maintenance. This building, a striking example of modern timber architecture and sustainable construction, is far more than a workplace: it is a symbol of innovation, sustainability and contemporary elegance that sets new standards in Swiss construction.
