-A wooden deck of between 10 and 15 m² can cost between 350 and 750 euros;

-Synthetic woods (composite, resin): synthetic woods, such as composite wood (a mixture of wood and plastic), will cost on average 30 euros to 150 euros per square metre without installation and between 90 euros and 240 euros per square metre with installation. Since they are not 100% wood, the prices are more affordable. These composite wood decks are excellent alternatives to the other types of species, because they have the look of wood but need very little maintenance.

The type of support for your wooden deck is also an important price criterion. There are 3 main types of support:

What price should you allow for the accessories and tools for a wooden deck?

Some accessories needed to lay a wooden deck can increase the total price. Costing between 2 euros and 50 euros, these are in particular the following accessories:

-Decking joists, costing on average 2 euros to 10 euros per metre depending on the wood and the finish;

-PVC pedestals (height-adjustable supports on which the joists are laid), costing on average 2 euros to 4 euros per pedestal (allow at least 4 to 8 pedestals depending on the size of the deck); 

-Installing a geotextile membrane on soft ground (which prevents grass from growing back), costing on average 40 euros for 25 m²; 

-For installing special hidden fixings for decks, also allow around 50 euros. This fixing system makes it possible to fix the deck boards without the screws being visible; 

-Using a saturator will cost at least 50 euros for a 5-litre can. The saturator is a finishing product that protects the wood of the deck from external attack (UV, the weather and so on) and restores its shine.

The price of the decking surface, that is to say building a flat surface on which to install your deck, varies according to the type: boards or tiles.
