Chêne de l'est

Chêne de l'Est is a French manufacturer of oak parquet flooring and floorboards. Founded in 1960 by carpenter Joseph Bach, the company has remained family-owned and is now run by his four children. It is based in the Grand Est region and operates four sawing, manufacturing and finishing sites, spread across Moselle and the Vosges. The company controls the entire processing chain, from oak sawing through to finishing, including drying, for which it has several hundred cubic metres of pre-dryer and kiln capacity. It designs and manufactures its ranges in France and focuses on oak parquet and floorboards, both solid and engineered. The range includes solid and engineered parquet floors ready for installation, available in various patterns (herringbone, Hungarian point, Versailles pattern) and finishes (brushed, varnished, oiled, aged look). Chêne de l'Est also offers bespoke treads, risers and stair nosings. The company bases its production on French manufacturing and sources PEFC-certified wood from sustainably managed forests.
