Le Comptoir des Bois Egletonnais (CBE) is a French timber merchant and processor based in Egletons, in Corrèze. Located in the Chaulaudre business park in Egletons (Corrèze, formerly Limousin), the company is part of a family history: its founder, Anthony Farges, represents the fourth generation of a family involved in processing Corrèze timber. CBE presents itself as an independent company carrying on this sawing and timber-trading know-how. The core business of CBE combines three complementary activities: timber trading (from rough-sawn blanks to finished products), machining and treatment. The company prioritizes local sourcing, with species mainly originating from Corrèze; Douglas fir from Limousin and spruce are the predominant woods in the region. The range covers rough and planed timber, structural timber, cladding, decking, slabs and panels, logs and stakes, outdoor landscaping, building kits, as well as hardware and finishing products. CBE works with many species: Douglas fir, larch (local and Siberian), pines, spruce, fir, Western Red Cedar on the softwood side; oak, chestnut, poplar and ash on the hardwood side. Its offering also includes custom-made projects such as carports, pergolas, kiosks, timber framing and roof structures. CBE highlights sustainable forest management, support for the local economy through short supply chains, and membership in the Origine Corrèze label.
