Le Comptoir des Bois Egletonnais (CBE) is a French timber merchant and processor based in Egletons, in Corrèze. Located in the Chaulaudre business park in Egletons (Corrèze, former Limousin), the company is part of a family history: its founder, Anthony Farges, represents the fourth generation of a family involved in processing Corrèze timber. CBE presents itself as an independent company perpetuating this know-how in sawmilling and timber trading. CBE's core business combines three complementary activities: timber trading (from rough blanks to finished products), machining and treatment. The company favors local sourcing, with species mainly of Corrèze origin, Limousin Douglas fir and spruce being the predominant woods in the region. The range covers rough and planed timber, construction timber, cladding, decking, slabs and panels, logs and stakes, outdoor fittings, construction kits, as well as hardware and finishing products. CBE works with many species: Douglas fir, larch (local and Siberian), pines, spruce, fir, Western Red Cedar on the softwood side; oak, chestnut, poplar and ash on the hardwood side. Its offering also includes custom-made projects such as carports, pergolas, kiosks, timber framing and roof framing. CBE highlights sustainable forest management, support for the local economy via short supply chains, and membership in the Origine Corrèze label. The company indicates it has installed an autoclave treatment station to enhance the wood's durability.
