Osmo

Osmo is a German manufacturer of wood finishes and treatments, as well as wood products. The company’s headquarters and industrial facility are located in Warendorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, with a second production site in Münster. Founded nearly one hundred and fifty years ago as a sawmill, the company developed its finishing business more than sixty years ago and today claims its Westphalian roots. It employs more than 350 people and distributes its products through a network of specialist dealers present in more than sixty countries. Osmo’s core business combines wood processing and the manufacture of finishing systems developed and produced in-house. The company presents itself as one of the few players to master its entire value chain, from planing the wood to formulating the coatings, under a “Made in Germany” approach. Its finishes are based on vegetable oils and natural waxes rather than conventional lacquers, allowing the wood to breathe while protecting it. The range covers interior finishes (floors, parquet, furniture, worktops, stairs, doors) and exterior finishes (decks, cladding, garden furniture, fences and privacy screens), complemented by hardwax oils, stains and saturators, wood paints, and preparation and cleaning products. Osmo also works with wood products such as façade cladding and decking, and offers custom shades in RAL and NCS color charts. Osmo highlights a sustainability approach, with a section dedicated to certificates and the environment, and bases its formulations on renewable raw materials.
