Scierie Beal

Scierie Beal is a French sawyer specializing in the processing of softwoods. Based in Dunières, in the Haute-Loire, in the heart of the Massif Central at around 900 meters altitude, the company is a family sawmill founded in the early 1950s, now run by Romain Béal, the third generation at the head of the business. It has grown across three production sites and has around twenty staff: a modern sawmill in Dunières, a log yard, a planing mill and kilns in Montregard, and a pellet plant in Roche-la-Molière. The company masters the entire softwood-processing chain, from sawing to drying and planing. It sources only from nearby softwood forests, mainly in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and works fir, spruce, Douglas fir, larch and Scots pine. It serves carpenters, timber-frame house builders and materials merchants. The catalog covers structural timber (roof structures, framing, beams, mechanical classes C18 and C24), development timber (cladding, decking, grooved boards, fencing), as well as wood pellets under the BEAL Granulés Bois brand. The sawmill also offers planing, drying and bespoke treatments. Scierie Beal promotes local sourcing and holds the Bois de France and Bois des Territoires du Massif Central labels. Its products carry CE marking, CTBP+ treatment and ISPM 15 marking for packaging wood.
