Description

PEFC-certified northern pine joist, pressure-treated to use class 4 (green tint), offered in two sections: 45 × 70 mm and 45 × 95 mm, in a length of 3 m. It forms the framework of decks in Optima composite boards and is laid on a concrete slab or on pedestals; where laid on pedestals or on stabilised ground, only the 45 × 95 mm section is permitted, in a self-supporting structure compliant with DTU 51.4. The timber machines easily and accepts any type of fixing, Optima clips or screws. The joist framework governs the flatness of the decking, the resistance of the boards to loads, the run-off of rainwater and the ventilation beneath the boards; the manufacturer advises drawing it out before installation, following the centre-to-centre spacings in the decking instructions. Weight of 5.2 kg for the 45 × 70 section and 8.1 kg for the 45 × 95 section. European origin, ten-year commercial warranty.
