Description
The OAKMOBILE is the portable version of the EPUR timber framing machines: it combines the OAKBOT robot with a clamping system and a rolling trolley, forming a machining centre that can be moved around the timber members. Designed for the site as much as for the workshop, this three-axis CNC electric milling machine is quick to set up — mark the cutting line, fit the clamp, then start machining. The NEMA 23 encoder motors and the ball screw transmission give machining accurate to within a tenth of a millimetre; the ER32 collet spindle accepts tools from 20 to 40 mm. The cutter capacity reaches 300 × 200 × 83 mm and the maximum section that can be machined at the end of a beam is 310 × 207 mm. The OAKMOBILE covers tenons, mortises, cross-ties, dovetails and bridle joints, replacing several dedicated machines. It can run off a portable power station.
