Description

The Pro Dry is a horizontal drying tunnel that follows on from the impregnation machines in the same range. The parts travel on a powered roller conveyor whose speed is set by an electronic inverter, which allows the dwell time to be matched to the product applied. A bank of infrared emitters projects out of the tunnel to start the film setting right at the infeed. The infeed rollers have a self-cleaning system that prevents wet product being carried over onto the following parts, a familiar difficulty at the outfeed of a flow coater. Heating is electric and thermostatically controlled. Full air recirculation reduces the energy consumption of the installation. Finiture sizes the length of the tunnel to the throughput of the line and the nature of the products, water-thinnable as well as solvent-based.
