Océwood 40 x 50 mm Composite Joist for Laying on a Slab

Description

100% Océwood composite joist (70% recycled PVC, 30% flax shives), 40 × 50 mm in section and 3 m long, weighing 1.72 kg per linear metre. Rot-proof, it is laid straight onto a concrete slab with no shim or protective strip, at a rate of one joist per square metre. Two manufacturer restrictions apply: the joist must be laid on a concrete slab, never on pedestals or on stabilised ground, and it is reserved for Océwood composite decking boards (Optima, Optima Plus, Optima Eko, Classik). The slab must fall by about 1% away from the house towards the garden to drain water; the joists are set out around the perimeter and then in bays, with a 15 mm expansion gap between them and against the walls, before drilling and anchoring to the ground with plugs. It accepts both Optima clips and screw fixing. French manufacture certified Origine France Garantie, ten-year manufacturer's warranty.
