Description

The TRC Panel is a modular Wintersteiger platform for the fully automatic repair of large-format panels. The process starts with a complete scan of the panel carried out in a single movement; the data is then passed to the injection units, which repair the defects precisely. Only the volume of filler calculated by the scanner is introduced into the crack or the knot hole, without treating the surrounding grain, and various material colours are available. A turning unit makes it possible, once the front face is finished, to process the back face. Double loading allows two short panels to be processed at the same time, while the Random Length function runs boards of varying lengths one after another with no adjustment; a check scan verifies the result after repair. The machine takes panels from 650 to 1,300 mm in width, from 900 to 3,500 mm in length with two units (2,600 mm with three units) and from 16 to 45 mm in thickness. Remote maintenance over the Internet is possible.
