SCM Area CLT machining centre

Description

The Area is a numerically controlled machining centre with a moving gantry structure and modular composition, intended for large elements such as X-lam/CLT panels for walls and straight or curved structural beams. Its work table reaches 4.5 m in width and 50 m in length, and its five-axis routing head machines X-lam walls and floors, curved beams, insulating panels and elements of great thickness, up to 360 mm. The electrospindle develops 30 kW and the blade diameter goes up to 1020 mm. Its modular design makes it possible to match the length of the work table to the production need. The machine is aimed at timber construction manufacturers looking for great machining flexibility on large parts, on its own or integrated into a line.
