SCM Group

SCM Group is an Italian industrial group manufacturing machines and machining centers for woodworking and other materials. The group is headquartered in Rimini, in Emilia-Romagna, and its roots date back to 1935, when Nicola Gemmani and Lanfranco Aureli partnered. The first woodworking machine was produced in 1952, followed by the famous « Invincible B4 ». Over the decades, the group expanded through numerous acquisitions (Minimax, Gabbiani, Morbidelli, DMC, Stefani, Routech, Superfici, among others), now structuring several specialized divisions and three major production hubs. SCM focuses its core business on the design and manufacture of technologies for wood processing, intended both for furniture and construction industries and for craft workshops. The group also processes glass, plastic, marble, and metals, and relies on one of the largest distribution and service networks in the sector. The range covers all machining stages: CNC machining centers and nesting cells, panel saws and circular saws, edgebanders, wide-belt sanders, drills, presses, finishing lines, planers, moulders and tenoners, as well as automation solutions. SCM additionally offers software (Maestro systems), IoT solutions, and training services, spare parts, and remote assistance.
