Description

SWOOD BW (Beams & Walls) is the module of the SWOOD suite dedicated to timber frames and timber walls. It draws on the parametric capabilities of SOLIDWORKS to design roofs, walls, floors and buildings, where last-minute changes are carried through into the programs by simply rebuilding the model. Its three-dimensional geometric analysis automatically detects mortises, tenons, saw cuts, dovetails and housed joints, then generates the programs intended for the machining centres. The module produces files in BTL, BVN and BVX format and drives several makes of beam processing machine such as Hundegger, Weinmann and Uniteam. A multi-level export covers walls, ceilings and beams. Projects and referenced parts can be reused from one site to the next, and the 3D rendering of the models supports the commercial presentation of the works.
