Description

SWOOD CAM is the computer-aided manufacturing module of the SWOOD suite. It translates the parameters of a 3D project into machining programs and workshop documents, from design through to production. Its geometric recognition identifies 3 to 5 axis operations, then the toolpaths are optimised according to predefined and customisable strategies, refreshed with a single click. Two production methods coexist: part by part, for precise control of each step, and nesting. The post-processors, developed in-house, cover the main CNC controllers used in woodworking: HOMAG (WoodWOP), Biesse (BiesseWorks, bSolid, ISO), SCM (XILOG, MAESTRO, ISO), Felder (TPA, F4Integrate) and Holzher (NC HOPS). Pre-production simulations detect potential collisions between the head, the table, the tool and the workpiece before the run starts.
