Tecnaria CTL OMEGA timber-concrete connector

Description

The Tecnaria CTL OMEGA timber-concrete connector strengthens and stiffens existing timber floors by forming a composite concrete slab. The CTL OMEGA consists of a 30×90×38 mm omega-folded plate 4 mm thick, a Ø 10 mm coach screw with a conical collar and a Ø 12 mm galvanised stud, and one Ø 10 mm coach screw (lengths 100, 120 or 140 mm) passing through the plate. Screwed through the decking into the joists, the CTL OMEGA ties the old timber structure to the slab poured over it; its parts are electrolytically galvanised (8 µm, 2 Kesternich cycles) and the assembly is CE certified. The characteristic resistance Fv,Rk of the CTL OMEGA reaches up to 7.89 kN depending on the thickness of the decking and the timber class, the minimum timber class required being C16, GL24 or D30. The CTL OMEGA comes in several heights (from 40 mm) to suit the intended slab thickness.
