Tecnaria

Tecnaria is an Italian manufacturer of connectors for timber-concrete, steel-concrete and concrete-concrete composite structures. Based in Bassano del Grappa, in Veneto (Italy), the company has developed its connection systems since the early 1990s, its first CTF steel-concrete connector having been tested at the University of Padua. Over the years, it has broadened its range and built a group bringing together the Isolform and TecnariaFix brands. The company's core business is reinforcing floors by bonding different materials together. Its connectors make it possible to turn an existing floor into a collaborating composite structure, in order to increase load-bearing capacity and stiffness, improve dynamic and acoustic behavior and reduce the required sections. The activity is accompanied by calculation software, technical assistance for designers and training. The range covers timber-concrete, steel-concrete and concrete-concrete connectors, as well as seismic-reinforcement and jacketing solutions. It notably includes stud-and-lug connectors for timber floors, the CTF nailed connector and welded-head connectors for steel structures. Through TecnariaFix, the company also offers roofing fasteners (screws, nails and rivets for concrete, sheet-metal and wood supports). Tecnaria obtained a European Technical Assessment (ETA) for its connectors and completed a voluntary CE certification in 2019. Its products have also been the subject of national certifications, including a French CSTB Technical Approval and a SOCOTEC certification.
