Description
The DSB Twinhead Pro XM is a thin-kerf band saw fitted with two saw modules, designed for precise dry or wet cutting of hardwood and softwood. It marks the move of the Twinhead range to Pro level, with a high degree of digitalisation: automatic blade detection, automatic measurement of block width, bearing monitoring for preventive replacement and a connection to the myWintersteiger Cloud through remote maintenance. The operator runs the machine from a 12-inch touchscreen with a redesigned interface. The basic two-module configuration can be extended into a complete production system. The cutting width reaches up to 310 mm, the block height up to 165 mm and the feed speed up to 45 m/min, with a 32 kW main motor and a powerful extraction system. The spray system suits wet cutting and timbers rich in resin or silica.
