CLT processing centre SCM Area XL

Description

The Area XL is a five-axis numerically controlled machining centre with a moving gantry structure, for the industrial production of large X-lam/CLT walls and floors. It automatically moves and machines pieces up to 400 mm thick and 3600 mm wide, with lengths handled from 2100 to 16,000 mm depending on the configuration. Designed to fit into automatic production lines, it automates the phases of moving and referencing the workpiece; its motorised worktable handles pieces weighing up to 12.7 tonnes. Maximum power reaches 63 kW and rotation speed goes up to 12,000 rpm. The machine is aimed at CLT manufacturers looking for a high level of automation and high productivity on large-format works.
