Description
On nesting machines and machining centres, insufficient extraction of chips and dust degrades production quality and increases cleaning work. Here, Leitz combines a stainless-steel collet chuck and a DFC turbine, for Dust Flow Control, made of aluminium with a hard, wear-resistant coating. Capture reaches a maximum of 90%: chips are drawn towards the extraction and double cutting, a source of premature wear, is avoided. The chuck delivers clamping forces twice as high with comparable tightening torque, i.e. 80 Nm, with high concentricity. Stainless steel and coated aluminium prevent corrosion phenomena. The assembly accepts shanks from 6 to 25.4 mm, can be height-adjusted on two levels for different panel thicknesses, and can be used up to 24,000 rpm, on nesting systems and machining centres with HSK-F 63 and SK 30 adapter systems.
