SCM Oikos XL Plus timber frame machining centre

Description

The Oikos XL+ is a numerically controlled machining centre designed for machining beams and posts with a maximum section of 1250 x 610 mm, used in the construction of multi-storey buildings. It adds to the six-axis operating unit an independent blade unit that makes cuts up to 400 mm deep; using the two blades together makes it possible to machine workpieces up to 610 mm thick. Its six-axis architecture carries out any operation on every face without repositioning. The machine handles lengths from 9 to 19 m and workpieces reaching 4000 kg, with a 25 kW electrospindle, a 740 mm main blade and an independent blade 1150 mm in diameter. Programming is done with Maestro beam&wall and its active interface.
