USNR

USNR is a North American manufacturer of equipment and complete lines for sawmills and the wood-processing industry. The company is headquartered in Woodland, in Washington State (United States). Its origins go back to a machine shop founded in that same town in the 1930s, taken over by USNR in 1975, and the company claims more than a century of activity since its first patent. It operates several sites in North America (British Columbia, Arkansas, Florida, Ohio, Oregon, Quebec) as well as in Sweden. Endeavour Capital invested in it in 2013, before a majority stake was sold to an industrial investor in 2021. USNR masters the entire wood-processing chain, from the log yard to the planing mills. Its positioning is based on the integration of mechanical equipment and scanning and optimization technologies, which drive every step of the process. The acquisition of Sweden's Söderhamn Eriksson in 2015 strengthened its European presence. The range covers log lines, debarking, primary breakdown, edgers, curve-sawing saws, cross-cutting, sorting and stacking systems, wood handling, as well as industrial kilns. Added to these are scanning and optimization systems, and the Coe brand dedicated to the manufacture of plywood and panels. The company offers solutions ranging from the standalone machine to the turnkey plant for solid wood, plywood and engineered wood.
