What is MDF? Definition
A MDF board, also called medium-density fibreboard, is an engineered wood panel made of finely ground softwood or hardwood fibres mixed with a synthetic binder (usually urea-formaldehyde resin).
This mixture is then pressed under high pressure and heat, bonding the fibres to form a dense, uniform panel.
