SEMA Point Cloud Surveying Module

Description

This add-on imports 3D point clouds from a laser scanner into the SEMA program, in .e57 and .spw formats only. Once loaded, the cloud becomes a planning basis available from every view in the software, 3D included, and not merely a background layer. The user generates section planes from it, defines elevations and recreates the storeys of the surveyed building, which makes the module particularly suited to detailed design and to rebuilding an existing structure. Work on the model is therefore based on measured rather than hand-taken dimensions, including on irregular structures. The module covers roofing work, timber and prefabricated construction, digital surveying and refurbishment. It is available as an option on all four SEMA packages and comes in seven languages, including German, English and Italian.
