Description

SWOOD Design is the computer-aided design module of the SWOOD suite, built for the joinery trades. It models complex timber projects in 3D within an ergonomic and fully parametric environment, where every change is propagated throughout the project according to predefined rules. The software handles multi-material projects by combining its wood functions with SOLIDWORKS tools such as sheet metal, weldments, resin or plastics. Recurring components — drawers, hinges, handles, fronts — are inserted by drag and drop from libraries, and the Library Installer downloads ready-to-use items supplied by partners. Panel parameters, such as grain direction, thickness, cutting allowances and edgebanding, can be defined freely. At the end of a project, a report brings together materials, hardware, programs and panel lists.
