What is Western red cedar cladding?

Red cedar cladding (Western red cedar) is an exterior wall and facade cladding made from Western red cedar, a softwood that grows mainly in western North America, in Canada and the United States. It is especially common in British Columbia, Oregon, Montana and Idaho.
