SCM Area X CLT machining centre

Description

The Area X is a five-axis numerically controlled machining centre with a moving gantry structure, for the production of X-lam/CLT panels and curved glued laminated beams. Its work table is highly configurable, available in five bases from 16,000 to 36,000 mm, in a simple version for stand-alone machines or a fuller one for high-productivity lines. The travel speed of the workpiece reaches 40 m/min thanks to automatic referencing and clamping systems, which makes the machining flow quick and smooth. The 30 kW operating unit provides high machining quality, including in difficult conditions, assisted by dedicated extraction and cleaning systems that remove the chips automatically. A solution accessible to small and medium companies too.
