Felder Group

Felder Group is an Austrian manufacturer of woodworking machines and machining centers for working solid wood, panels and composite materials. Based in Hall in Tirol, in the Austrian Tyrol, the group traces its origins to the workshop founded in 1956 in Absam by Johann and Gertraud Felder, relocated to Hall in 1982. The family business is now run by its fourth generation. It has expanded its scope through external growth, with the integration of German vertical saw specialist Otto Mayer in 2019, followed by Italian wide-belt sander manufacturer EMC Italia in 2023. The group brings together four brands covering all market segments: Felder, Format-4 for the most demanding professional needs, Hammer (created in 1997) for accessible machines, and Mayer for panel saws. Production remains ensured at the Austrian site, which employs more than 800 people. The catalog exceeds 180 machines, from the traditional combination woodworking machine to 5-axis CNC machining centers. It notably includes sliding table panel saws, jointer-planers, spindle moulders, edge banders, sanders, band saws, panel saws and extraction systems, for crafts, trade and industry. The group highlights the precision and quality of its Austrian manufacturing, which it sums up with its motto « Tradition, Innovation, Perfection ».
