Felder Group

Felder Group is among the world leaders in technology and machine construction in the field of wood and composite material processing. In our factory in Hall in Tirol, more than 800 employees work every day to find smart solutions for woodworking professionals around the world. The range of models from Felder Group includes well over 180 machines, from traditional combined woodworking machines to 5-axis machining centers, as well as smart software and fully robotic solutions. The history of Felder Group: In 1956, KR Johann Felder, along with his wife Gertraud, founded the company Johann Felder jun. in his workshop at the family home in Absam (Tyrol). In the very first year, he presented the first Felder machines for wood processing at trade fairs in Vienna and Innsbruck. By the early 1960s, constant growth forced the company to move for the first time. Salzbergstraße 26 became the new site of the machine manufacturer. The first exports soon followed, and the mass production of the legendary combined machine BU 4 illustrated the company's rapid breakthrough in the market. Thanks to the success of the BU 5-8 series and the impressive Felder HAT combined machine, Felder established itself in the German market. The immense success demanded ongoing expansion, which was not possible at the Absam site. Thus, in 1982, the company and its 65 employees moved again, establishing itself in Hall in Tirol (Austria), its current location.
